Senior Java Developer at Waracle, Remote/Glasgow, £Contractor Option

Waracle are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our friendly team. As an experienced Java Developer you will be creating Java middleware to create, manage and monitor cloud services on AWS.

This position will be remote but ideally some presence in Glasgow is required and is open to both permanent and contractor candidates.

As an experienced Java Developer you should be creating Java middleware to create, manage and monitor cloud services on AWS. The team will be doing its own QA so must have a modern devops mindset to self-contain development end-to-end within the squad. You will work in commercial enterprise software, with compliance, governance, audit trail and related activities.

You’ll have expert knowledge of Java and be a creative problem solver – you’ll relish the challenge of having to solve complex problems and come up with brilliant solutions and products. You’ll be a strong communicator and able to get ideas across to the team and also be able to liaise with customers and clients.
