Becoming an Operational Risk & Compliance Lead with Smart DCC:

 

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial six months day rate contract as an Operational Risk & Compliance Lead working from London, Ruddington or Manchester two days a week, remote working for the remainder of the week. The Operational Risk & Compliance Lead will use existing methodology to identify weaknesses within Operations directorate, including business processes and technology. They will drive forward improvements through robust mitigation plans that mean DCC continually meets its obligations whilst introducing preventative controls and operational governance to manage consistent performance.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

· Identification of risks & issues that affect Operations and agree business owners, being conscious that some of these may need reporting to the DCC Board;

· Ensuring all risks & issues are logged including correct classification of the impact and likelihood

· Acting as the point person in the coordination of Operations Audits, overseeing and reporting on the delivery of any actions

· Ensuring that any compliance monitoring or audit findings are implemented by business areas and central monitoring systems are updated

· developing insights to ensure we are identifying opportunities to adjust the direction of travel to underpin strategic goals and horizon scanning and using industry insight to ensure we are always on the front foot with strategic vision and activities.

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Formal training in Risk Management such as IRM Credits supported by UKAS accreditation or equivalent along with ITIL4 Managing Professional credits.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, working with a team both on site and remotely, and strict deadline and expectation management.
  • Extensive experience in risk & compliance identification, mitigation and management.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry frameworks and best practices such as ISO, CMMI, ITIL etc.
  • Service focussed approach with the ability to provide advice, support and guidance on matters concerning the provision and maintenance of services across the ecosystem.
