Software Tester at Testlio, Remote, Part-Time, £Freelance Rate

Hi there!

We are looking to expand our existing team of remote freelance testers to join our ongoing testing opportunity. For this project, we are looking for testers based in the United Kingdom who can perform Functional Testing. At Testlio, the work is remote and flexible.

We currently have an ongoing project that requires freelance testers to test a Sky device (Sky Q/Q Mini set top box). For this purpose, we are looking for testers who already have a Sky subscription, a TV licence, and a Sky Q/Q Mini set top box.

Requirements:

• Location: United Kingdom
• Devices: Sky Q/Q Mini set top box
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus

Project Details:

• Workload: Tasks will be assigned on a weekly basis. Tasks may take around 3-5h hours to complete.
• Overall Testlio workload: Separate from this project, you will have the possibility to increase your workload in Testlio based on your vetting test results.
• Payrate: $18 /h

Joining Testlio

In order to begin working on this project, candidates must first create an account on our platform, Testlio.com. Our work opportunities are assigned based on different criteria on your profile, so completing your profile will give you the best chances of getting more work.

The sign up flow looks like this:

• Creating a profile on our website
• Passing our mandatory vetting test, the Functional Regression Testing Certification
• Updating your preferred payment method and work availability
• Providing proof of ID

Our testers work on devices they already own from the comfort of their own home. By letting us know what devices you have, we an assign more work accordingly. These can include anything from mobile devices, laptops, PCs, tablets, TVs, to gaming consoles.

Interview process:

Our interview process consists of a vetting test on the Testlio platform, the Functional Regression Testing Certification. This can only be accessed after creating an account and completing your profile.

• Candidates must sign up for a day to take the test.
• When signing up, you will be required to fill a short form and all the information has to be accurate. Inconsistencies will not grant you permission to take the test, and we will be unable to invite you for a second try. We provide information in order to complete the form.
• Candidates must show up on the day the test is scheduled to take. We will send an email confirmation to the email you used to sign up on Testlio.
• Our confirmation email offers 2 options: Accept or Decline. If you accept, you are expected to show up and not doing so will be marked as a fail. If you decline, that is totally fine! This simply means you need to re-start the vetting test sign-up process once again.
• The vetting test will check your software testing capabilities and it will show you how to use the Testlio platform. We offer guides to make sure you have a high chance of passing.
• Once you pass the vetting test, you will be eligible for more workspaces and we can help you get more work on our platform by introducing you to different project subject to your availability.
