IT Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35)

As part of a major programme to provide 5 health assessment suppliers with a managed IT service which includes DWP provided networks, end user devices (laptops & peripherals), software and local printing, as well as an externally procured case management service, the department is looking for project managers with experience of Digital Transformation, working with external IT service suppliers, managing the deployment kit, software, etc. to internal or 3rd party staff. Successful candidates will join an experienced, established team to work alongside the Major Change team to deliver the Digital aspects of the new assessment service.
In this IT Digital Delivery Manager role you will:
Lead digital projects end-to-end, often in parallel, ensuring they are delivered at pace to meet stakeholder needs, leading a team of Digital Project Managers.
Lead robust adaptive planning collaboratively across stakeholders, establishing priorities, conflicts and issues, helping everyone to navigate a complex environment.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure delivery to commitments. Resolve complex commercial issues to ensure delivery at pace.
Manage risks, issues and dependencies (external and internal) for their projects and own them until they are effectively resolved.
Actively manage change and governance across projects, changing project parameters as appropriate in association with governance boards and senior stakeholders, taking all cross-project impacts into account.
Experience of at least one of:
Working with 3rd party IT suppliers to deliver the full implementation of their service;
Deploying laptops and software to end users;
Managing 3rd party equipment providers, including networks and printing;
Rolling out email and file sharing services.
Demonstrate they have worked in regulated and controlled government environments
Manage integration and co-ordination with other delivery teams and departmental governance.
Working within a large programme and liaising with a Programme Management Office.
