We have an urgent job opportunity for the profile of Data Engineer responsible for designing data lake/warehouse and developing data pipes to support data migration.

Position - Data Engineer

Domain: Telecom

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 6 months rolling

Requirement

• Expert knowledge of Data Warehouse, ETL & BI projects with strong knowledge in Cloud Data Warehouse and MS SQL Server (mandatory requirement).
• Expertise with GCP Cloud services is mandatory.
• Expertise in 3rd party GCP tools like Striim or Fivetran would be advantage but not necessary
• Experience in developing automated ETL pipelines in and out of data warehouse
• Strong knowledge of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes
• Experience in handling semi-structured data (JSON, XML) .
• Experience with extracting data via API.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ability to test developed jobs and prepare test cases and evidence
• Must have experience with Agile development methodologies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyse and develop data ingestion models and data transformation logic for extracting data from different source like Application(API), RDBMS and Semi-Structured files.
• Design and operationalize data and analytic solutions on cloud data platforms.
• Build and automate data pipelines bringing data into and out of the warehouse.
• Create data models to incorporate new data as business requirements or source systems change.
• Integrate BI tools to the warehouse for automated report generation.
• Provide technical support including troubleshooting and monitoring of existing workflows
• Leverage code repositories and continuous integration tools
