Splunk Security Consultant - Contractor - SIEM, Splunk ES

We have a new opening for a Splunk Security Consultant to join us on a contract basis, working with a major financial services partner based in Swindon.

The position is available immediately (subject to security clearance), is 6 months initially and likely to extend and can be based remotely or in a hybrid setup. It requires engagement via umbrella company (inside IR35) and comes with a competitive day rate.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Working across several cyber-Security projects, supervising an in-house team of Splunk developers
  • Assuming responsibility for Splunk design preparedness, and approvals from the Splunk service manager
  • Liaison with the Splunk service manager, on behalf of the projects team
  • Supervision of the technical implementation of selected solutions
  • Ensuring appropriate documentation is produced & published for implemented Splunk solutions

MUST HAVES

  • Significant (ideally 2+ years) experience of designing and implementing enterprise-scale Splunk solutions in a large corporate environment
  • Significant (ideally 5+ years) experience of developing & implementing Splunk changes in a change-controlled corporate environment
  • Familiarity with industry-standard change control and documentation requirements
  • Excellent understanding of networks & infrastructure, both physical & virtual, as they relate to Splunk architecture
  • Firm understanding of the application life cycle process

PREFERRED

  • Splunk/ServiceNow integration experience
  • Splunk ES and/or Splunk-based SIEM experience
