The Brief:

This is a hands-on role so engineering, development and support experience is a must. To be considered, you must have at least two years of experience working with AWS and be able to demonstrate:

  • Hands-on platform engineering experience on AWS with a good knowledge of relevant CLI tools, cloud networking, security, IaaS and PaaS services.
  • Hands-on experience of engineering the platform for enterprise production support, monitoring, security, cost, deployment, etc.
  • Excellent IaC skills (CloudFormation, Terraform etc).
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS services, and a strong command of Shell Scripting languages.
  • Excellent knowledge of DevOps philosophy, methods and principles to software engineering, delivery, alongside knowledge of Azure DevOps tools and associated methodologies.

As well as excellent technical expertise and know-how, you must:

  • Be an excellent communicator, demonstrate at all times exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-directed, motivated and able to meet objectives with little or no direct supervision.
  • Be a detail-oriented, security conscious, and rigorous individual.
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Be a team player, keen to share knowledge and willingly assist fellow team members.

Professional certifications are desirable - experience is a must. The role is remote-first (UK based). Very occasional travel to our offices and/or customers' locations may be required.
