NHS England - Digital Child Health and Maternity 


This is the perfect role for an organised, enthusiastic individual who wants to drive successful delivery and development of a complex and high profile programme. Reporting into the Programme Director, the successful candidate will be expected to operationally drive and provide comprehensive leadership across the programme.

As a Senior Programme Lead, You will: 


  • Oversee the strategic and operational development of the Digital Child Health and Maternity (DCHM) Programme
  • Providing support to the Programme Director in assessing both the strategic alignment and health of the projects in the programme
  • Provide practical support to enable a clear, universal understanding of the status of the programme
  • Deliver the Strategic Outline Business Case
  • Support the Programme Director to develop, with other senior leaders, the strategic vision the Programme and project management office within NHS England and NHS Improvement, and develop a programme management strategy and operational policies that support this vision.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the whole lifecycle of allocated programmes of work containing multiple projects, reporting on progress and managing risks and issues, acting as a point of escalation for project managers within the team
  • Responsible for the development of best practice and programme management methodologies within the Project and Programme management office, ensuring that this is embedded at all levels and reflected in all the team delivers.

You’ll have:


  • Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering large scale programmes within a complex and interdependent portfolio
  • A digital Background 
  • Strong experience running PMOs or portfolios 
  • Public sector experience (preferable)
  • Driven tech transformation programmes
  • MSP or equivalent qualification
