Contract Description

The Data and Reporting Analyst is essential in ensuring the accurate delivery of information required to inform the In-Person Testing Channels Team, Internal & External Stakeholders as well as other programmes across Test & Trace. You will help the Digital Systems Manager to maintain and develop various digital systems in use across Test & Trace. As well as providing support for ad hoc data insight requests, data cleansing and admin tasks.

The role will be varied with a mixture of operational logistics and administration combined with the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects and pieces of work providing you with exposure and occasion to input into the wider Testing strategy and agenda.

As Data and Reporting Analyst you will: 

  • Have significant interaction with the wider testing team as well as internal & external stakeholders requiring excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, often being the first point of call for initial requests
  • Be expected to flex workloads to support other teams & colleagues and provide continuous service across the area you are supporting
  • Be required to deputise and cover for the Digital Systems Manager when they are on leave and support them in preparing for key submissions, attend and minute meetings and pick up actions as and when required.



Essential experience:


  • Experience in Data analysis
  • O365 - intermediate to strong skills
  • Experienced communicating with internal & external stakeholders to understand data and business requirements
  • Confident to attend key meetings to provide support; minute taking, action tracking and providing administrative support to the Digital Systems Manager.
  • Confident to support the Wider testing team, for requests and questions, gathering data and evidence as and when needed to ensure that any such items are completed and submitted in prescribed timescales.
  • Experienced assisting on communications, ensuring that all key messages are received and distributed and drafting specific communications where needed for the Digital Systems Manager.
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and prioritising skills being able to manage a mailbox to the requirements of the Digital Systems Manager as well as a high level of attention to detail
  • Analytical/Solution focused thinker

It would be desirable to have:

  • Digital process knowledge
  • Airtable or similar experience
  • Tableau and/or Power BI experience
  • Previous Civil Service experience within a data analyst role
