PMO Lead – G7 - (Inside- IR35)

Contract Term: 6 Months (Remote Working)

Targeted Community aims to reduce COVID-19 prevalence and transmission by partnering with local authorities across England to design and deliver asymptomatic to communities. Targeted Community utilises local knowledge and a variety of agile models to deliver to people with higher infection rates and those groups least likely to engage with testing through other national routes.

As a PMO Lead, your main responsibilities and skillset would be:

  • Coordinate the design and delivery of Local authority submission documentation and processes, ensuring all data requirements from across corporate functions are met. Develop and deliver the approval process for these submissions, triaging submissions through the relevant reviewers, and enabling leadership oversight for final sign off prior to communication back to the Local Authorities on outcomes and any outstanding requirements.
  • Evaluate proposed changes to Local authority delivery, triage to relevant reviewers, and present recommendations to senior decision makers. Oversee compliance with change request process, escalating non-compliance.
  • Coordinate processes to ensure local authority testing plans are completed accurately and to standard to inform timely and accurate payment decisions.
  • Enact two-way feedback loops with Engagement team to ensure corporate functions have visibility of key concerns being raised by the Local Authorities. Triage concerns/escalations from Engagement team to relevant corporate functions.
  • Design change control process for changes to programme scope, budget and timescales, agreeing tolerance and escalation points. Evaluate proposed changes and present recommendations to senior decision makers. Oversee compliance with change request process, escalating non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with planning and benefit realisation leads to ensure changes to the programme are reflected in wider activity.

Essential skills.

  • Experience of leading a programme management office and/or managing the delivery of projects or programmes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Production of management information related to programme/project performance for senior stakeholders and project teams
  • Experience of managing and assuring risk, budgets and change
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Results focused and able to work under pressure

 

Desirable:

  • A recognised accreditation in professional project management (practitioner level) such as PRINCE2, Managing Successful Projects or Agile Project Management.
