Contract Description

For an inside IR35 project with one of our clients, we are looking for your expertise in integration and packaging. The project location is in Hook, Hampshire and you need a valid SC clearance, DV clearance preferred.

In that role you will take a set of instructions and software written by a Designer/Engineer and make the solution work in a customer representative environment. Some of the software is installed manually and some installed using automated software installation tools.

You will resolve installation issues and feedback findings to the Designer/Engineer using ITIL approved defect management procedures. A number of iterations of the integration process may be necessary before the solution is deemed fit to proceed into System Test.
You are responsible for identifying and diagnosing software faults before the software is released to the next stage in the process. Quality assuring the software produced by the engineering team is an essential part of your work. You also need to ensure that all the software components they are integrating work together and that the design delivers the expected outcome without impacting adversely on the existing solution.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Software installation and Application packaging
  • Integration/packaging (primarily software though occasionally specific hardware issues might arise)
  • Unit and Integration Testing
  • RADIA Servers infrastructure support
  • Problem Investigation and Resolution
  • Detailed technical document authoring
  • Development of scripts to automate installations and provide integration

Your Key Skills:

  • RADIA and the Server infrastructure that supports it
  • Application Packaging and Software installation solutions
  • Integration/packaging (primarily software though occasionally specific hardware issues might arise) and Unit and Integration Testing of these packages
  • Documentation of solutions
  • Antivirus products and VMware
  • Analytical troubleshooting
  • Experience of integration of different software solutions on various hardware platforms
  • Experience of producing Integration test plans
  • Experience of producing integration test scripts
  • Problem solving and ability to work under own initiative to tight timescales
  • Ability to contribute throughout the full life cycle from design through to implementation
