Digital Business Analyst Inside IR35

Contract Term: 6 months

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers.

As a Digital Business Analyst,your main responsibilities would be: 

  • To be a key part of the team in delivering change within the department.
  • To work across the product delivery lifecycle to bring together business needs with technical capabilities, with the goal of defining solutions that deliver value.
  • Utilise Agile methodologies, agreed within the wider multi-disciplinary team. Educate the other BA teams working on the service on Agile principles, methods and tools to support their development.
  • Translate the business problem and user needs into a set of detailed requirements for the solution that align to best practice methodology, with the appropriate use of epics, features, user stories and defined acceptance criteria

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • Extensive experience in Agile & Lean practices (DDaT)
  • Knowledge / experience in development of service offerings involving Pega or equivalent BPM technology.
  • Identifying, elicit and define non-functional requirements using NFR catalogues or similar.
  • Defining epics, user stories & acceptance criteria following best practice principles
  • Using a variety of business analysis tools and techniques in an Agile environment
  • Stakeholder management and communication

You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:

  • Agile certification e.g. Scrum Master , Kanban
  • Familiarity with industry best practice notation frameworks such as BPMN v2.0
