As a QA Lead you’ll be working on a range of diverse interactive projects across mobile, web, experiential and emerging technologies. You will need to be able to familiarise yourself with projects and feature elements quickly. You will be able to put your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to task alongside utilising your strong time management skills. You will be focusing on multiple priorities and be able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. Your logical and thorough approach to completing assigned tasks may be unsupervised at times. You will be able to maintain an adaptable approach to testing, perfectly balancing client and internal needs.
Reports to: QA Manager
Prepare comprehensive test plans, ensuring the test plan will deliver against the project scope and specification.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Producers, Developers and Tech Leads throughout the project timeline ensuring changes to scope are factored into the QA requirements and any new risks or issues are communicated early.
Enter bugs into the database, adhering to the approved structure and guidelines.
Assisting with the management of the bug databases from the QA side, ensuring that a database reflects the state of the project and ensuring that issues are reported at a high quality.
Monitor test coverage, ensuring holes in coverage do not become apparent.
Provide screenshots, video footage, logs, or other material as required.
Where necessary, recreate any bugs found for other QA staff & the development team.
Identify and report any areas of test plans which are out of date or could be improved.
Creating new test suites for new projects or when existing projects evolve.
Provide feedback on usability and qualitative issues.
Assist with management, training, recruitment and mentorship of the wider QA team
Collaborate with the QA Manager at the start of every day to assist in defining and assigning tasks to the wider QA team.
When necessary, manage the planning and booking of external QA suppliers, ensuring that their work adheres to UNIT9 standards.
Where necessary, provide on-site QA support for installation based projects.
Ensure that client confidentiality and security remains of utmost importance.
