Opticore IT is a rapidly expanding specialist IT Services consultancy offering a wide variety of opportunities to work within challenging and exciting environments across our client base which spans multiple verticals including Finance, Media, Telecommunications and more.

 

We are searching for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Project Practice, you will be joining our already excelling team within our client in the Hospitality Sector on an initial 6-month contract Inside IR35 with scope to extend. This opportunity will be based from home with plans to move back to our London Offices but will likely require some travel across the UK to meet with the regional deployment teams.

 

A bit about the Programme:

We have been engaged by a large UK-wide enterprise client to implement a new network strategy across 800+ sites across the UK. This programme will seek to upgrade and optimise the clients WAN, LAN and wireless network components. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to assist the Programme Manager in translating the business data across multiple projects simultaneously and translate this information into a consumable format for the senior sponsors and executives.

 

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Working with Development teams, Architects, Project Managers, and Senior Stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements. 
  • Developing comprehensive E2E test cases at the application level. 
  • The timely delivery of detailed analysis across a number of strategic workstreams, supporting both programme delivery and business change in ensuring the business is clear on the intent and impact of the programme 
  • Identify quantifiable business trends, compile analysis reports and follow up on results. 
  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project within the Programme. Hold regular stakeholder meetings to inform the interested parties in project and programme progress. 
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and conform to the set out requirements. 

 

What we look for in a Business Analyst:

  • Relevant history of leading C-Suite business stakeholders through technically challenging requirements gathering workshops, helping where necessary to translate business into technical and technical into business language 
  • A clear understanding of modern networking technologies and architectures 
  • Ability to document customer journeys and create detailed User Stories 
  • Experience of delivering in fast-paced Agile teams 
  • Practical application capability with business analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with experience of communicating technical issues to senior staff.
  • A highly proactive self-starting ethos, with a strong customer focus.
  • Outstanding team skills, with the ability to effectively support colleagues.
  • A strong work ethic, high professionalism and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • A high standard of personal presentation with the ability to imbue confidence in colleagues and clients.
  • Experience of business analysis practice at programme level.
  • The ability to successfully work with stakeholders from many business areas, backgrounds and nationalities to realise project milestones and deliverables.
  • Exemplary coordination skills and the ability to understand business drivers / IT requirements.
  • Proven ability to initiate, develop and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical teams and individuals.
