Contract Description

PRELOADED is seeking a highly creative and experienced PlayCanvas Game Developer for a 3 month contract with potential to extend. We are looking for someone with a great track record for creating compelling games and playful experiences in PlayCanvas for a wide range of audiences. You will have a full range of front end game development skills for both mobile and desktop browsers, including everything from core gameplay logic and UI integration, to assisting artists with art integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the Lead Game Development role on PlayCanvas projects leading the development and assisting in the technical and art pipeline for the team and key project stakeholders.
  • Assuring quality and performance of the game applications across popular mobile and desktop browsers. (iPhone 5S, Samsung S5 as min spec)
  • Work directly with React.js frontend and backend developers supporting the projects
  • Be responsible for providing clear project documents to ensure that development objectives and intentions are understood.

 

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of game development experience and at least 3+ years of PlayCanvas experience with a proven track record of developing games for both mobile and desktop environments
  • Full stack game developer, confident in developing at every stage of the project and able to get stuck-in and hands-on. A deep understanding of interactive systems, game mechanics, UI and audio integration. Methodical and have a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to express ideas and reasoning to key stakeholders and the team.
  • Able to execute the development that meets the clients, audiences and projects needs.
  • Have the ability to communicate and support other disciplines in the team.
  • Experience in prototyping and validating ideas through user testing.
  • Well versed in version control and experience in working in teams
  • Self-organized, self-motivated and hands-on.

  • You have worked on free-to-play games and understand live game development.
  • You have experience in React.js
  • You have experience with integrating with backend environments and services.
  • You have experience with Unity 3D
