Busines Analyst Description

As a Business Analyst, you will work in our consulting business, having responsibility for understanding our clients’ user needs, working closely with client and their internal technical departments as well as our own developers. You will be pro-actively discovering new requirements and translating existing problems or requirements into user stories and defining acceptance criteria. You will bridge the gap between our clients and our technical and commercial teams and be a key team member in delivery of our AI Chatbot, Knowledge Management and Machine Learning projects. You will be using a strong understanding of our capabilities and solutions on offer to our clients.

You will need

  • Degree level education
  • 3+ years BA experience within a software development remit
  • Ability to work as the sole BA within our organisation
  • Demonstrable pro-active nature
  • Solid experience in the analysis and implementation of knowledge management solutions involving Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 (Dynamics advantageous)
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong creative skills to provide thought leadership where required
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness
  • Customer service focus in order to provide a best practice to all our clients
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels from operational staff to senior management
  • Experience with projects based on Chatbots, Web Apps, CRM, BI and Automation preferable

Role Requirements
Our clients are embracing Microsoft AI technology to enhance and transform how they engage with their workforce and their clients. We are providing COTS and bespoke solutions to realise these ambitions. Our problem domains focus on self-service, conversational UX, automation, knowledge retrieval, and omni-channel communication. Your BA skills will be required in this context to define new services to be built by our technical team. You should be able to:

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain professional relationship with clients as their trusted consultant
  • Independently research and gain familiarisation with clients’ business units
  • Tease out use-case candidates for application of AI technology as part of loosely defined open change programmes
  • Plan, organise, execute and document workshops, brainstorming and interviews with stakeholder groups
  • Analyse, decompose and categorise relevant documents, applications, websites and collaboration tools used by clients
  • Produce wireframes, bot mocks, process flows, personas, journeys, narratives, entity models, data taxonomies, topology maps, information architecture designs
  • Present benefits realisation justification for business cases
  • Contribute towards estimates, resourcing and work planning
  • Ensure workstreams run at acceptable velocities by pro-active steering
  • Ensure that there is a continual stream of requirements emerging to meet revenue targets
  • Define acceptance criteria
  • Contribute towards test plans, test cases, test scripts, acceptance testing and defect lifecycle
  • Support business change and adoption of the new services by the client
