As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for a Scrum Master to join us to lead interesting and varied initiatives. This role is suitable for an experienced contractor who is immediately available.

 

As a Scrum Master, you’ll be responsible for leading one of our sprint teams on a large initiative for one of our key clients. This role reports into the Project Manager and you’ll work closely with others on the project to ensure a successful outcome across our sprint teams. This is a hands-on

role so proven recent experience of leading agile delivery teams through a sprint cycle is essential.

 

What does the role involve?

 

Client Engagement:

  • Build productive relationships with your key partners at the client.

Decision Making:

  • Making timely and accurate decisions to unblock team, utilising lead/senior engineers’ expertise where needed on technical issues.

Organisation:

  • Run agile routines as agreed with the client, for example sprint ceremonies etc.

Co-ordinate:

  • Encourage the team to co-operate and work together.
  • Personally, work closely with other Agile leads on the project to ensure Unai are aligned across the delivery teams.

Innovate:

  • Suggest and drive forwards the delivery of improvements to the methods by which your team and the company does business, to deliver at reduced cost, better quality, with greater team satisfaction.

 

What we think you will need (Skills, Experience and Behaviours):

 

  • Extensive experience in successfully running day-to-day agile ceremonies and routines
  • Proven client management experience
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching and mentoring, and building driven and high performing technical teams
  • Experience of delivering scalable and performance systems
  • Experience in software architecture patterns, database optimisations, infrastructure, scalability and deployment.
  • A broad understanding of the software development lifecycle
