Scrum Master - Scrum/SAFe®

Scrum Master URGENTLY required for a large Unified Communication program. You will be responsible for guiding large Scrum cross-functional teams through release cycles in the classic servant leader' style, ensuring the principles of SAFe Agile are correctly followed. The Scrum Master will form part of a large, global release train, with talented experts to solve complex, technical challenges and will work in a large, complex SAFe Agile Train environment.


  • Supports the Product Owner and Product Manager groom the Product Backlog, prepare Release Burndown charts, and manage resources;
  • Working closely with the Product Owner and the development team to ensure well-defined User Stories are created and prioritised ready for the team to deliver.
  • Facilitate/ensure rapid decision-making in a changing environment, with appropriate escalation to ensure change continues to move with limited delays.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective meetings, backlog sessions, etc.
  • Help the team to self-organise and get the most out of their combined skills.
  • Challenge existing practices and lead continuous improvement in delivery standards and processes.
  • Identify and eliminate impediments and encourage a high-performing culture with a focus on relentless improvement
  • Coach teams to be able to identify team risks, issues, and dependencies and how to seek resolution before escalation.
  • Helping the team to implement consistency of approach and quality of output.
  • Promote and support the adoption of SAFe Agile


  • 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a large, global IT environment
  • SAFe® certified - and SAFe practical experience;
  • Comfortable and experienced solving both human and technical impediments
  • Forge strong internal relationships to ensure the goals/objectives are clearly communicated, understood, and executed.
  • Technical Telecoms background in IT would benefit understanding context of delivery
  • Ability to coach, empower and lead teams to self-organisation
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. You will provide leadership to business analysts, collaborate with customers, and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Ability to adapt approach where required to align with waterfall project management principles for large scale, complex, enterprise-wide projects and programs to provide the right balance of agility and predictability
  • Strong leader and charismatic communicator
  • Have a technical, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
