Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a production test software suite systems suitable for production. This also includes interfacing with RF test equipment, production databases and other associated software packages to enable the initialisation, RF testing and final configuration testing of the product.
  • Consider the cost implications of all software designs and processes, ensuring test process can be performed in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Assist in the identification of suitable RF test hardware for the production test process.
  • Maintain a high standard of product documentation to allow maintenance of the product after the project is completed.
  • Prepare documentation for internal product design reviews.
  • Write comprehensive technical reports to extended audiences.
  • Provide feedback on production test engineering issues in an articulate manner within own area/discipline and to line manager.
  • Plan, implement and coordinate activities of self and possibly others against objectives.
  • Assist with the commissioning, production support and fault-finding for the Production Test Software Suite
  • Provide regular communication and feedback to the Production Test Software Group Lead, Engineering Manager and Operations Manager (where applicable).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of RF Test Equipment and Processes
  • Experience in the development of Automated Testing Software
  • Experience in the use of Visual C++, SQL Server, SSRS
  • Experience in writing and testing of software for use in RF products along with comprehensive technical reports
  • Experience in transitioning developed software into the real time production environment
