Job Purpose:

As a Technical Project Manager you will play a key role in a Transformation Programme which aims to develop a world-class delivery capability. You will bring focus to technical projects, working to scope them, to increase visibility, accountability, awareness, engagement, buy-in and ensure delivery to time, scope and budget. 

To succeed in the role you will have to work with a wide variety of stakeholders in the organization and with third party experts and consultants.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

• Gather and prioritise the requirements needed to deliver technical projects within our transformation programme. You will create detailed end-to-end delivery plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete each project. 
• Leverage your project management, technical, organisational, and transformation expertise to understand business and strategic goals, translate them into an executable plan 
• Own the entire project life cycle, delivering within time, budget and to quality assurance expectations.
• Concurrently manage multiple projects.
• Work with the technical teams to effectively manage project planning, requirements capture, estimation, development, testing, resource planning and co-ordination
• Manage dependencies, issues, risks and contingency plans as required.
• Maintain up-to-date project reporting to track progress and all project documentation to a high standard.

Requirements:

• Project management experience working directly with technical teams and third-party experts and consultants
• Relevant working experience in a technical project management setting
• A high degree of competency in relation to project planning and execution
• Experience of maintaining effective relationships with project stakeholders both internal and external as well as those locally and remotely
• Strong emotional IQ (EQ) and demonstrable ability to create relationships with new people quickly and easily and manage those relationships effectively over time
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Certification in Project management methodologies, like Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, Prince2, Waterfall etc.
• Strong presentations skills
• Excellent written and spoken English is critical, as you will be required to communicate with colleagues, line managers and occasionally clients
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Smartsheets
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office core products (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
