As a Records Management Specialist, your main responsibilities would be: 

  • implementing information and records management best practice
  • developing policies and process to ensure all legal obligations for protecting and managing information are met
  • providing strategic and operational advice and guidance on information and records management
  • interpreting law and policy
  • communicating with stakeholders at all levels

 

You’ll have relevant experience in:

  • information or records management
  • legal and regulatory frameworks governing record keeping in a public sector environment
  • building and leveraging relationships across and between organisations. Strong communication skills. 
  • prioritising and multitasking
  • delivering at pace and coordinate several activities in the same timeframe to tight deadlines 
  • Attention to detail 
  • working independently, self-starter

 

You will also have these Qualifications/Skills:

  • Possession of a Records Management profession academic qualification
  • Experience of The UK Data Protection Act and/or The General Data Protection Regulation
  • Experience of Sharepoint
  • Experience of developing and implementing an Information Asset Register (IAR)
  • Experience of developing and managing a corporate record
  • Policy experience 
  • Compliance experience 
  • Business change
