Senior Network Engineer - Home based, 3 month contract (Outside IR35)

What would you be responsible for in this role?
Support and manage the company’s LAN and WAN infrastructure
Monitor and maintain the network, ensuring incidents are investigated and resolved fully
Work with colleagues to develop and upgrade the network infrastructure
Ensure the network is secure according to best practice and regulatory requirements
Research and propose appropriate network improvements
Work with other technical teams and colleagues as part of project teams
Maintain and update a complete documentation set for the network, including Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plans
What would we like to see in you?
Covea are looking for candidates with both technical and business focussed skills to help with delivery of the technical roadmap. The ideal candidate should be technically capable in a range of network technologies and have experience with project and BAU work. You should be experienced with the design, configuration and support of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, SCCM,
Storage and hardware and can feed long term issues into project roadmaps. You should also have a proven track record of working with project managers and procurement on defining requirements and selecting technology choices from the market. We are especially keen to hear from candidates who logical, focussed and plan effectively to deliver right first time.
Advanced Cisco IOS/NXOS administration
Routing and Switching, F5, Cisco ASA and Checkpoint FW support & configuration
VMware NSX experience
Cisco DNA experience
Cisco Call Manager and/or Cisco UCCX support
Experience supporting a national WAN, with multiple core sites, Data Centres and distributed regional sites
Experience of technology refresh/migrations
Ability to resolve 3rd-line level customer related technical issues quickly and efficiently
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent
