Test Engineer – Inside IR35


We are currently searching for experienced Test Engineer for a 3 month contract with the Department for Working Pensions.

As a Test Engineer you will: 

  • Test engineer required to build automation test solutions that help to assure the quality of products developed through the Future Payments Programme and contribute towards their design.
  • Responsible for testing all areas of the products including but not limited to functional, business requirements, performance, security and accessibility.
  • Manual and automated testing of UI & API, performance testing using JMeter and acting as the testing subject matter expert for a delivery squad, providing additional support/technical guidance

  • JavaScript - essential
  • NodeJS - essential
  • Nightwatch.js - essential
  • Cucumber – desirable/knowledge
  • Karate Test Framework – desirable/knowledge
  • Postman - essential
  • API Testing – essential
  • BDD – desirable/knowledge
  • Agile Methodologies - with experience of BDD (behaviour driven development) and TDD (test driven development) processes, and an understanding of the key principles to develop a modern standards approach to testing.
  • Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery – Methodology and tools (i.e. GIT).
