Data Engineer at Cervest, Remote, to end March 2021, £500 per day

At Cervest we are at an incredibly exciting point of our journey. We are in the process of productionising the cutting edge science our Science team has developed, and we need more engineers to help us do this. The product we are building has the mission of helping everyone in the world understand the impact of climate change on every single physical asset in the world and data plays a crucial role in making this come true.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience of working with large scale, distributed computing to join the team, and help us develop our data platform. The role offers a unique opportunity to join an exciting, early-stage, highly mission-driven team where you’ll have the ability to make a significant impact on our company and our users.

Requirements

• Experience of developing data engineering pipelines, data storage solutions and services within the Spark framework (Pyspark/Scala)
• Experience deploying using Kubernetes and Argo orchestration
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining EMR instances
• Good level of experience / comfort with Cloud Deployment Environments (AWS preferred).

Benefits

This will be a contract till the 31st of March. The proposed pay scale is £500 p.d. inclusive of all fees.
