Contract Description

 

 We’re looking for Project Professionals for short term remote working contract roles with the FSA.

 

 

As a Project Professional, you will:

  • Work closely with project leads (policy officers) to create project artefacts such as plans, work-breakdown structures, project schedules and resourcing plans.
  • Demonstrate and apply project management rigour and discipline during the course of this work and ensuring that quality, time and cost parameters are defined and articulated within the project plans and artefacts.
  • Work closely with policy officers to develop emerging project outcomes and benefits and articulate these within a project benefits map.
  • Work closely with policy officers and analytics unit staff to establish benefit measures and profiles.
  • Work closely with policy officers and other stakeholders to identify and analyse risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) inherent within the projects and articulate these within a project RAID register.  Develop treatment and mitigation actions and plans for risks and opportunities.
  • Build effective relationships within the projects and wider programme and ensure that stakeholders are identified and actively engaged to contribute to the projects.  Work closely with the programme Stakeholder Engagement manager to ensure coherency of approach and strategy.
  • Provide professional expertise and judgement to colleagues and actively support the development of project management discipline and knowledge within the programme through the transfer of your knowledge and experience.
  • Champion the benefits of utilising appropriate project management tools and techniques through effective engagement and communications and making innovative use of a variety of media.

 

 

You will have:

  • The ability to evidence experience and knowledge of project management and ideally hold a recognised project management qualification.
  • The ability to rapidly assimilate programme strategic context and background and tailor project artefacts, tools and processes to suit.
  • The initiative and determination to work with others to elicit the information and thinking needed to develop project artefacts such as plans, schedules and work breakdown structures.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and demonstrable ability to quickly form effective relationships and networks.
  • Strong organisation skills to be able to prioritise work effectively.
