Magento 2 Technical Architect

Magento 2 technical architect (M2TA) required who has worked on a number of large projects that required customisation of Magento 2 functionality and development of new functionality. Candidates must be able to advise on technical implementation in order to assist the project team. You will need to convert requirements into technical and functional solutions for large, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that any customisation aligns with the underlying Magento 2 architecture and product roadmap
• Define the architectural approach and develop the integration between Magento 2 and 3rd party applications / legacy systems (fulfilment, PIM, payment …etc)
• Provide feature estimates
• Develop and enhance new and existing applications
• Write, test, and deploy code using established standards and procedures
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing software according to company standards and procedures
• Design and deliver formal or informal training
• Review deliverables and provide performance feedback Recommend process and technical improvements
• Lead and mentor other developers (some of whom will not have Magento 2 experience)
• Understand and adhere to specifications

The techy bit….we need you to be really great at:

• Experience in software development including experience developing in Magento 2

• Good communication skills/proven record of providing technical direction and leading a team

• Very experienced in integrating Magento to 3rd party applications / legacy systems (fulfilment, PIM, payment etc)
• Expertise with development life-cycle methodologies and best practices
• Experience of Continuous Integration
• Strong knowledge of Magento technical guidelines
• Experience in Object Oriented PHP development
• Experience developing Magento modules
• Experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, XSL
• Experience of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, nginx, Vagrant
• Good communication skills/proven record of providing technical direction
• Strong eCommerce background
• Integration with back end systems via webservices.
• Experience working with REST API’s
• Positive attitude

Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL, PHP) stack

Strong relational database skills

Experience with Zend MVC Framework

Experience working on Open Source projects
