Over the past nine years Elsewhen has created a working environment that is exacting and driven, but open and friendly. We value outcomes over hours, and data over rigid processes.

Regardless of culture, appearance, or perspective, everyone is welcome in our teams and workplaces, and that individuality is encouraged. This is a company where people are empowered to challenge convention, grow their ideas and make the best work of their lives.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist who brings perfectionism and attention-to-detail to the project.

Come join the team —

Things you will be doing:

We are designing and building a new business tool for one of our clients.  At its most basic level the tool will give them global and local business analytics across all markets, a dashboard explaining how a region is performing against the seasonal pricing models, and where it can make improvements.

The real innovation we’re aiming for is around yield management forecasting and control.  Mass data analysis across all regions to build a model for seasonal trends and live adjustment to the current deployed model — insights, suggested actions and new models.

We are working directly with the CEO, Head of Data and CPO on the project and our work will help to redefine their data and business strategy in 2021 and beyond.  The company is already going through massive growth, but this tool is being pinned as a new market innovation.

Job requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python and most commonly used data/ML libraries.
  • Experience using databases and solid SQL
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and deploying forecasting models
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding and handling data streams generated from 30+ data sources.
  • Developing revenue and margin forecasting models
  • Developing an inventory optimisation model.
  • Understand relationship between data sources
  • Working with engineers to deploy models into production
