We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director Customer Insights and Research that we are recruiting for NHS Digital.

As Deputy Director Customer Insights and Research, you will: 

  • Ensure that DHSC has access to up to date and robust research, real time data, and insight to drive understanding of our users and future trends, so that it will drive key strategic decisions for the organisation
  • Provide expert analysis of user data and feedback to internal clients (service owners, public user owners, & regional delivery owners) to support their decisions
  • Take ownership of Customer Experience KPIs for DHSC and ensuring these drive decisions
  • Lead and embed a programme of research and analysis including a Voice of the Customer programme across DHSC
  • Strengthen the overall insight capability of the division
  • Help internal customers to understand their insight and analytical needs and championing user feedback throughout the user journey to improve service design and delivery, particularly for less engaged groups
  • Actively participate in the senior leadership group of the Customer Experience & Services SMT and building effective relationships with other leaders and heads of function across the organisation
  • Be responsible for leading a team of researchers and analysts.

 

You’ll have:

  • Experience of working in Central Government
  • Significant experience and peer recognition as an insight professional (e.g. economist, statistician, social or market researcher or operational researcher)
  • Analytical and innovation experience, with the ability to work across professions and make connections between disciplines
  • Experience of successfully leading and developing an insight function to deliver excellent business outcomes through use of leading edge analytical and research practice
  • Experience of management of significant change, preferably through setting up or reconfiguring an insight function
  • The ability to clarify and resolve delivery problems, using high quality data and insights to develop new approaches
