Service Owner (Inside IR35)

We are currently recruiting for a Service Owner for a Government Organisation

As Service Owner, you will: 

  • Lead a team focused on the use case, and taking a wider strategic leadership role as a member of the Customer Experience & Services team
  • Own the strategic vision and operationalisation for the use case and being accountable for ensuring it is delivered in accordance with the aims and objectives of the division
  • Have ownership of operating models used by the use case, whilst looking to deliver continuous improvement
  • Develop and support the successful delivery of national rollouts, ensuring they are focused on improving and transforming service delivery and that they are aligned with the changes across the division
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders (both in and outside), influence and drive change as necessary
  • Use performance trend information to develop and implement continuous Improvement across the use case


You’ll have:

  • Experience delivering clear and measurable outcomes through your own work and through more than one service team working into them
  • Worked in an environment with conflicting pressures and KPIs where the path to success is not always clear
  • Inspired others to objectively and dispassionately represent the views and aspirations of diverse users and citizens, combining what people say with what they do
  • Confidence influencing at a senior level, able to challenge the status quo yet take a balanced approach to prioritization
  • Experience in both ‘building a new business’ and ‘trading an existing business’ and doing both through a process of rapid iteration and sprint-based delivery

It would be great to also have:

  • 10 years+ working in service ownership in an omnichannel mass market consumer-led, public and/or health-led organisation
