.Net Cloud Architect at Torsion Information Security, Central London, to £600 per day

The Company

Torsion is a VC backed start-up who have changed the way Data Access Governance is delivered. Working closely with the Microsoft Security and Compliance team, Torsion is building a world class best of breed product that gets delivered through an international network of partnerships.

Torsion has recently won a UK government grant to deliver a project to build a new functional capability for our existing award-winning product.

The Person

The .Net Cloud Architect will have the following technical qualities:

• Strong experience in the architecture and development of distributed micro-services in Azure, including technologies such as Service Fabric, and Event Grid

• Strong software architecture principles, with experience in migrating legacy applications to modern patterns.

• Strong enterprise experience in C# (.NET Framework 4.6)

• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework and T-SQL
• A strong focus on process-driven quality, scalability and security outcomes
• Strong enterprise experience coding against sophisticated middleware tools
• Experience in the use of third-party APIs within .NET at scale; with Azure DevOps, both for source control and CI; and in the use and administration of Microsoft Azure (including but not limited to VMSS, Azure SQL, App Services and Azure Redis)

The Opportunity

The project will run for 3 months, from start January 2021 to end March 2021 (possibly slightly longer). Your participation in the project will be full time over this period. 

Remote working is anticipated, apart from possibly the occasional team-day, to be determined. You will participate in a daily stand-up meeting (over video call) with the rest of the Engineering team, and work closely with the rest of the team throughout. Due to the nature of the funding we have received, this is open strictly to UK based candidates.
