An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Technical Analyst with solid infrastructure experience to join us on a contract or permanent basis in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will coordinate and liaise with delivery teams and the business.

What to Bring

  • Extensive infrastructure support experience preferably within an Oil and Gas setting
  • Experience in:
  • o Netapp
  • o Linux
  • o DELL Networker and vProxy
  • o Virtualisation with preference for Nutanix technology
  • Strong service management (ITIL) experience
  • A good understanding of working with remote services
  • Experience of installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft technologies and products in both physical and virtual environments
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven documentation skills
  • Ability to be self-supporting and proactive
  • An awareness of emerging technologies and demonstrable desire to stay current
  • Relevant degree in IT
  • Technical Microsoft/VMware/Citrix certifications

What you'll do

  • Provide Hands & Eyes for Remote administration services
  • Provide coordination for the service being delivered to IT users, Asset and/or Business Functions
  • Pro-active resolution of incidents, requests and queries relating to IT User for onshore and offshore locations
  • Maintain alignment of service delivery principles, processes and tools with other Teams
  • Take ownership and pro-actively expedite technical Incident management for IS teams in the supply of IT Operations services
  • Take ownership and pro-actively expedite technical Request fulfillment for the IS teams in the supply of IT Operations services
  • Deliver IT services in a complex multi-vendor, multi-supplier environment
  • Take ownership and pro-actively expedite trending and monitoring (including Capacity Management) to affect continual service improvement
  • General monitoring of Server operating system support
  • Service delivery in partnership with vendors, service providers, third-parties
