We are now looking to expand our services into the Public Sector and consequently looking to hire to fulfil anticipated demand.

Requirements

We are seeking a Senior Consultant Software Developer to join us as a key contributor for upcoming project work across a major public sector initiative.

In this role you will be expected to help drive the technical direction of a project, mentor junior developers as well as contributing to continuous improvement in the software delivery team.

Personal skills required:

  • Be a proactive and collaborative member of the team.
  • Work directly with our clients to elicit requirements, gain feedback and execute on technical delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills; we encourage our consultants to interact directly with clients and help foster a positive working culture.

Specific technical competencies are:

  • Domain knowledge in one of more of the following central government organisations: HMRC, DWP, MoD, NHS Digital, DEFRA, Home Office, Department of Education, Ministry of Justice and other relevant organisations such as FCA, Bank of England, Prudential Regulatory Authority, Insolvency Service, National Fraud Office, Ofwat, Ofgem, Ofcom etc.: is essential.
  • Core technology experience of Java or C# preferred.
  • In-depth Agile methodology experience, including knowledge of TDD and BDD.
  • GIT for Source control.
  • DevOps/CloudOps familiarity, hands-on experience is desirable however not essential.
  • Experience with Azure/AWS is desirable however not essential.
  • Interest in microservices, event sourcing, cloud-based solutions or other modern architectural patterns.

The selection process:

Selected candidates will undergo an initial phone screen followed by a technical interview and a meeting with senior leadership team.
