An excellent opportunity has arisen for Project Manager/Business Analyst hybrids to join us on a permanent or contract basis in Aberdeen. As Project Manager/BA you will come from a background of managing large and complex projects relating to Business Change, process and operational excellence in a global enterprise oil and gas setting. You'll work alongside all levels of internal and external stakeholders to act as a conduit between the excellence function and the Business, understanding business needs and processes, building relationships and establishing rapport via collaboration and communication and you will play an instrumental role in a Business Improvement programme of work.

What You'll Do

  • Through effective communication with stakeholders and business teams, elicit, analyse and articulate business requirements by studying business needs, goals and problems. Identify and facilitate business improvement opportunities and value adding
  • Prepare Business Cases for process change, capture functional and non-functional specifications, create business analysis artefacts, user testing plans and training plans
  • Develop and deliver work plans relating to assigned Business Change and Process projects
  • Conduct business analysis activities: understand enterprise goals, objectives, strategy and governance; research operational practices and procedure how the information technology is used within the organisation
  • Support project teams throughout all stages of the business change, from defining requirements to design, development and change. Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and organisational changes
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of business change within the organisation; familiarise the business with the benefits of these changes, strategies or processes Manage day to day key project deliverables
  • Estimate costs and time requirements of projects
  • Evaluate risk, predict potential problems and facilitate solutions
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops and training sessions
  • Use appropriate project methodology
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored

What to bring

  • Proven track record of end-to-end project management of large, complex projects on behalf of Oil & Gas exploration and production customers
  • Previous full life-cycle Business Change and process projects experience within the Oil & Gas sector
  • Solid experience in Change Management and Business Process Mapping
  • Confidence, pragmatism and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiating and influencing skills with ability to communicate and liaise at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and internal staff through large scale business change
  • Extensive business relationship experience across multiple business functions within oil & gas organisations
  • Ability to clearly articulate on behalf of the business the scope, objectives and drivers for process, strategy and business change
  • Ability to identify, express and facilitate business value creation
  • Experience in business intelligence reporting and information visualisation dashboards
  • Very good understanding of excellence processes, functions and best practice
  • Proven experience in applying analytical techniques such as: enterprise analysis, process analysis, concept modelling, requirements gathering, prototyping, benefit analysis, stakeholder analysis, interviews, workshop facilitation, etc.
  • Ability to create and tailor analytical approaches, methods and communications to suit the specific of the job and audiences
  • Expertise in multiple types of communication: operational reports, strategic reports, technical writing, user-guide creation, stakeholder reporting

  • Professional Qualifications and/or practical experience:
  • o PRINCE2 certification or equivalent, prior Agile experience beneficial
