Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote

3 months contract

For the past 10 years, Unai has been a technology consultancy providing software engineering and data science to organisations driving positive change. From this experience we have identified a key need that is common across a range of our clients. Following early success, we are expanding the team to bring a new product to market and are looking for a  ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Full Stack Engineer on a 3 months contract basis - competitive daily rate outside IR35.

As a Full Stack Engineer you will be responsible for delivery of high quality, well tested code. You will be converting stated business needs and requirements into design specifications and providing technical advice and guidance to the company.

You will act as an ambassador for Unai, articulating and representing the business to external stakeholders as well as representing our values and mission.

 

What we think you will need (Skills, Experience and Behaviours)

 

Essential

  • Extensive frontend software development experience using React
  • Experience writing Typescript
  • Experience with testing frameworks (jest, react-testing-library, Selenium)
  • Backend development experience. Either:
  • Python (we are using FastAPI / SQLAlchemy)
  • C# / .NET Core
  • Excellent general software development experience
  • Experience working with version control systems, like Git
  • Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker
  • Hands on experience with continuous integration and deployment tools
  • Strong communication skills, including experience writing technical documentation
  • Ability to work in a team

Desireable

  • Experience of contributing to UI/UX design and producing wireframes
  • Experience with alternative tools for building SPAs (e.g. vue.js, angular, ember)
  • Experience deploying production applications to cloud environments (eg. AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of non-relational databases such as Graph databases
