IT Scope Manager (Inside IR35)

As the IT Scope Manager, you will manage IT systems and lead support on all supported systems.

As IT Scope Manager you will: 

  • Manage the production of recommendations and technical business plans as needed
  • Drive the identification, screening and evaluation of new technical solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) customer needs
  • Responsible for resolving business problems, creating and analysing relevant information to outline technical solutions/concepts to those problems (including business cases for new investments)
  • Coordinate the outputs from all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors; Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility;
  • Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio
  • Create shared vision of respective solutions and facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms
  • Manage the prioritisation of solutions across functions and divisions establishing a clear priority order for delivery
  • Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources (to create strategic technical business plans)
  • Manage the creation of a clear commercial statement of requirements for delivery phase
  • Transition solutions to technology delivery teams including managing change management process if during a PI phase or into PI planning at the start of a phase as appropriate.
  • Liaison with CTO management team to ensure briefing of roadmap of projects and potential impact is known.

Experience required

  • 10-15 years of IT work experience
  • Experience of developing and executing strategic technical plans
  • Extensive experience of running teams
  • Extensive experience with running virtual workshops and training sessions is desirable.
