Servlane are looking for a Security Customer Project Manager for its Telecoms partner at Reading. The role will start with a 3 months extendable contract.
This job requires to provide Project Management services which meet the scope and criteria laid out in the below work package. The project management methodology to be applied is XLPM (PROPS-C) methodology, which is based upon either PMI or PRINCEII. This also includes Agile Ways of working and CI/CD delivery.
Scope of Work
Using the input of a Fulfilment Assignment Specification (FAS), where the scope of the project is outlined, the service provider will provide a customer facing project management service, where the Project Manager will carry out the following project management services;
1.Provide a project planning service.
a.Produce and maintain a detailed project time plan. The first issue being signed off by the project sponsor, then followed by weekly reviews with the sponsor.
b.Produce and maintain a project resource plan, which is reviewed with the project sponsor.
c.Secure the project resources, using internal processes and tools. Training will be given.
d.Prepare a complete list of project milestones, which will include both financial and operational milestones.
e.Prepare a communication plan which outlines your internal and external project meetings.
2.Establish a baseline for your project (TG2), using internal project management methodology. This review is known as Toll Gate2. Training will be provided.
3.Provide a project execution service.
a.Prepare a Risk, Actions, Issues, Dependency (RAID) log. This is to be maintained and reviewed weekly with the project sponsor.
b.Lead the project team. Hold project kick off meetings and manage weekly project team meeting. Ensure team members have clear roles and responsibilities. Ensure team members actively contribute to the RAID log and report back to you on progress against the plan.
4.Provide a project reporting service.
a.Provide monthly internal reports into steering committee.
b.Provide weekly internal project reports, using the template provided.
c.Provide weekly customer project reports, using the template provided. The sponsor is to review the customer report, prior to issue to customer.
5.Provide a project level governance service:
a.Ensure project governance is carried out by your project support office (PSO), using Global Chronos platform.
b.Track the progress of your project. Track project cost weekly and keep your project estimate to complete up to date monthly.
c. Apply internal project change control to your project, managing changes to your project by raising change requests in a timely manner for internal impact analysis and review by your sponsor.
6.Handle internal and external project escalations.
a.Act as the Single Point of Contact towards our customer and internal stakeholders. Capture the escalation and work to effectively manage the escalation, keeping your project sponsor updated. Should the escalation require a higher level of management, then pass your escalation to your Program Manager / Sponsor.
7.Project Handover (TG4)
a.At the mile stone TG4, the customer acceptance has been received and the project is ready for handover to support (HOTS). The CPM will manage this activity, securing the HOTS handover, through the structure template.
8.Project Closure (TG5)
At the point of the project being ready for closure, (TG5) the project manager will deliver lessons learnt and will present the lessons learnt to relevant project stakeholders.
The primary scope is for the profile as Security CPM is to work with Security SA and other domain SA, by reviewing customer security requirements for the mobile cloud and core across various domains in the network, and work with the product units and the customer to define these in more detail and agree any needed development and delivery plans.
The project has various elements like Kubernetes, cloud native, VNF, network managers, network function orchestration as described in ETSI framework.
The Security CPM need to be strong and capable of working on a dynamic environment. Work together with CORE3 and Security SA/SI team and customer to define the scope of work (SoW) base on Security SOX compliance chapter in RFP and contract. The Security CPM is responsible to delivery SoW document, resource planning, cost, risk management, change management, and build up Agile delivery platform (Rosetta, Jira etc).
The Security CPM will lead and coordinate with different workstreams on both customer and partner side to fulfil Security requirement from End to End solution prospective.
It is expecting that the Security CPM is experience of delivering IT/Telecoms with security solutions compliant with UK regulations would be an advantage. Also proven experience of information security and ensuring project adherence to internal and customer data handling requirements.
The services will be taken from service portfolio which include Design, ordering and supply chain management, Installation and commissioning, end to end testing, integration and Governance. The Project Manager will plan, manage and control all of the activities in pre-sales to define project scope, together with leading with CORE3 team and Security SA lead. The Security CPM needs to have strong business and finance acumen skills. The Security CPM will also need to lead and drive Security requirement delivery toward BT customer counterpart.
