Job Purpose:
Analytics and Data Sciences (ADS) is the heart of player, product, and business insights on our titles. The is one of the most critical roles we have as it acts as both a part of the game development team and as a centre of growth for our Studio in unlocking insights about our players and our business. The person in this role is most successful when they can merge analytical skill with game knowledge to drive incredible player experiences. If that’s you then we should talk!
As the Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for developing data architecture plans and driving the plans to fruition in collaboration with business owners, analysts, data scientists and data engineers. You will define and enforce data architecture standards, procedures and policies to ensure consistency. You will also guide data engineering in the delivery of data solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Assist in designing phased cloud data strategies, including building phased implementation roadmaps
  • Design and develop scalable data ingestion frameworks to transform variety of datasets
  • Building conceptual and physical data models, optimized for operational or analytical use cases, utilizing industry best principles, patterns and standards
  • Work with business stakeholders, product analysts and data scientists to ensure that business requirements are properly understood by all parties and recorded/managed appropriately
  • Define and identify appropriate sourcing for reference data types and prioritize/direct work to deliver MDM solutions for these
  • Drive Data usage strategies, principles, standards and best practices via development and communication

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor 's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in relational database architecture, design and development
  • Familiarity with multiple database environments and tools
  • Experience in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and/or Go
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies;
  • Knowledge of data science and data mining
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with QA processes and test-driven development
  • Passion for data and analytics and a drive to improve technically
  • Passion for video games
  • Games industry experience preferred
