The BOOST project team at Calor are currently leading a major overhaul of our business
processes and the ERP system that we use. As part of this project we have a Data Team
accountable for the 'Design' and 'Execution' phases of the data topics of data conversion,
data quality, data ownership and reporting. The post holder will work in the data team
working primarily on BI & Reporting but supporting other data streams as applicable. They
will be analysing our current reporting systems, working with stakeholders and partner
agencies on business requirements in order to support the BI & Reporting strategy and
delivery. Act as a hands on technical SME in BI & Reporting. The role will also support other
data activities related to the BOOST goals. This role will be very hands on and requires
knowledge across a wide range of reporting systems but notably S/4 Hana reporting and
Power BI. The role will represent Calor GB and work collaboratively with an SHVE team and
representatives from other business units.
Key responsibilities will include:
Gather business requirements for BI & Reporting.
Engage with stakeholders to capture detailed business requirements for Business
Work with Central teams to ensure Global BI & Reporting requirements are built to
standards - active participant through the end to end phases of Analysis,
Development, Test and Release.
Take ownership of all phases of Local BI & Reporting requirements ensuring
attention to detail and delivery to high standards.
Support any required data extractions, transformations and load into a new data
warehouse to set standards - either through a hands on ETL role and/or data
analysis support role
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and manage their expectations through
excellent communication and influencing.
Support business change through proactively partnering with the business and
identifying opportunities that enhance business performance.
Identify areas to increase efficiency and provide automated or self-service business
Communicate status, risks, and progress on an ongoing basis to the project team.
Responsible for implementing BI Reporting for Calor and other associated activities
as required for the transition to S/4 Hana
As such we would like you to:
Advanced knowledge and strong experience of Power BI
Experience of ERP data and reporting solutions (preferably S/4 Hana)
Strong SQL knowledge
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to efficiently translate business reporting requirements into outputs
Good analytical skills and has experience in the development of new reports and
business information solutions.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Time management skills and should be able to work under serious deadlines
Ability to comprehend and simplify complex concepts to help influence decisions
Methodical and logical approach to problem-solving
Knowledge of and hands on experience of SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics
Knowledge of and hands on experience with TOAD Data Point
Knowledge and hands on experience with Azure services such as but not limited to
Knowledge of other reporting and query tools such as Cognos, Hubble, QlikView
and FastStats - IBM i-series AS400 query tool beneficial
Comprehension of database structures and data warehousing
