Rates - £600 / £750 per day

About the role / project:

The organisation is implementing a portfolio of programmes and projects, including construction, engineering and technology implementations in Bristol and other locations in the South West. There is an opportunity to join a small team in the business change centre of excellence (CoE) to focus on the people changes required with primarily technological implementations in a complex, dynamic and exciting project delivery-based environment.

The CoE supports the lifecycle of projects: to identify the size of the change; define the benefits of new implementations; identifying, assessing and engaging with stakeholders; undertaking change impact assessments and defining and delivering change activities - although note that training is provided by an internal function or external team.

The Business Change Lead role will champion best practice in change management and provide expert advice for the project and change community. The role will report to the Business Change Manager who leads the CoE. Some travel will be required within the south west.

Your experience will include:

  • Assess the change impact
    Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
    Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative, including change impact analyses and persona-based approaches.
  • Provide change management services as part of technology programme/project implementations

Integrate change management activities into programme/project plans, often for multiple concurrent project deliveries

  • Engage with stakeholders and provide support and coaching

Support and engage sponsors and business leads, coach managers and supervisors, engage with change champions

  • Provide communication
    Expect to do some design, development, delivery and management of communications, engaging with the business change Communications and Engagement Lead.
  • Support training efforts
    Provide input to the analysis of training needs and support the design and delivery of training programmes.
