Your primary responsibility will be steering the implementation to success, working closely with the People team, third parties, and other internal teams across AO. You will build and execute a comprehensive delivery plan, provide governance of all delivery activity, and escalate key risks accordingly.

Building relationships with key stakeholders, understanding what they do and what’s important to them will be vital to this role. You’ll also invest time understanding the key functions and processes of the areas of the business the system implementation will impact, including any bespoke needs different departments may have.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Creation and day to day ownership of the implementation project plan.
  • Working with internal teams and third parties to ensure the delivery of the system (including confirming availability and scheduling of the right people and their time).
  • Work with the business to prepare for the operational change and readiness of using the system.
  • Reporting progress throughout the planning and delivery phases to the programme manager and People team.
  • Creating and managing a risk register and escalating any issues or delays in a timely manner.
  • Tracking project costs and working with the programme manager to assess spend against budget.
  • Subject to COVID lockdown and company travel restrictions travel to group sites across the UK (Bolton, Manchester, Crewe, Thatcham) and Germany (Cologne) may be required.

A Few Things About You

  • You’ll have a solid track record of great project management, with excellent examples of delivering a range of software development and business change projects.
  • You operate to and expect excellent standards of project governance.
  • Demonstrable experience of having delivered an ERP, with experience of delivering a D365 ERP being desirable
  • You’ve rich experience of working closely with company execs (you’re also not afraid to have difficult conversations with them). You can build solid working relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Your CV boasts clear successes of working with third party organisations to achieve key results.
  • You can demonstrate a good working understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • You’ll have experience working with remote teams.
  • Being highly organised and effective communicator are two key traits that come easy to you.
  • You are someone who cares. You foster collaboration and inclusivity.
