    Position at Tokio Marine HCC

TMHCC is progressing a programme of work to strengthen our data governance maturity, prompted by a major cloud data warehouse initiative and our wider data strategy. Work around the business glossary, data dictionaries and business rules are key to this initiative. A series of sprints will be held to review glossary terms and ensure agreement and ownership by the business data owners and alignment and integration with the Group Data Dictionary. An experienced business analyst (business focus is more important than technical focus) is required to provide services to facilitate and manage this process to deliver a glossary with business terms that have been approved by the Data Governance Council. This is a “hands-on” engagement to fast-track the glossary process on behalf of the business data owners. Our business data owners’ time is very valuable and so we are looking for an experienced BA who can proactively make decisions and recommendations, structuring the arguments such that we minimise the amount of time needed from the business, whilst ensuring their understanding and buy-in to the glossary content.

    Skills and Experience Specification:

    Must have

    • Experience in a Business change/transformation role
    • This service must be provided by someone capable of self-managing. They will not be “hand held” and will need to identify and reach out required Business and technical users.
    • A hands-on service is required, delivering drafts of the glossary terms to the business data owners, such that a minimal amount of effort is required from the data owners
    • The ability to write Business facing, detailed and accurate documentation including process definition
    • Assertive, independent thinker, combining strategic vision and pragmatic delivery capabilities.
