Games Tutor

London Learning Consortium (LLC) is an established ESFA, ESF and GLA Prime delivering a range of Training and Education programmes across London and the South.

We deliver a strong and diverse curriculum of accredited and non-accredited courses delivered by ourselves and several locally based partners. These include Adult Education Budget and Community learning, ESF, Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Adult Learning Loans.

LLC is a Grade 2 Ofsted provider with very high learner and employer satisfaction and achievement rates.

LLC is seeking a Tutor to teach on L2 & L3 Games Development course. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Level 2 UAL Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology (Game Design) qualification to students at LLC Croydon.

We are seeking individuals with knowledge and experience of digital games production, coupled with an ability to deliver training in these areas. Essential games production skills include 3D modelling, texturing, rigging and animating in Blender or equivalent, game design and programming experience using Unity or equivalent, and ideally, strong Photoshop/ graphic design skills.

Person Specification


Hold a formal teaching qualification at level 4 (CTLLS or equivalent) or above

Hold a Degree level qualification, ideally in a related sector area (desirable but not essential).

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 2 years previous experience of teaching, ideally in a post 16 setting
  • A demonstrable record of success in previous roles.
  • Significant successful experience of teaching relevant course areas.
  • Up to date knowledge of the subject area, syllabus requirements and appropriate teaching techniques; an awareness of requirements of awarding bodies.
  • Demonstrable skills in 3D modelling programs such as Blender, and gameplay scripting using Unity/C Sharp.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanisms for the identification, assessment, and support of learner needs.
  • Understanding of equality and diversity within the curriculum, barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these.
  • Practical and professional knowledge of creative industries
  • Experience in delivering teaching online using virtual technology e.g. Zoom/Teams

Contract Type: Freelance

Renumeration: £26 - £30 per hour dependant on experience
