Contract Description is searching for an experienced IT Operations Manager to join us on a temporary basis (until year end) in Aberdeen. As IT Operations Manager you will closely monitor IT delivery, deal with operational IT requests and support the IT director. You will have previous extensive large enterprise experience, and a proven track-record managing key relationships in a customer facing position.

What you'll do

  • Closely monitor IT delivery Infrastructure projects and "business as usual " IT Operations across a range of IT infrastructure, ensuring that Service Level Agreements are being met and any issues affecting delivery are resolved quickly
  • Manage the day to day operations across IS operations
  • Design and implementation of services, strategy and processes
  • Oversee internal IT systems

  • Background in IT Operations, IT Management/Service Delivery, within a large enterprise IT infrastructure environment
  • Strong staff management and development skills
  • Ability to be hands-on when required
  • High standards of delivery and attention to detail
  • Experience of managing people in fast-paced support environments
  • Able to handle and prioritise multiple issues
  • Experience of incident and problem management
  • The ability to clearly demonstrate effective stakeholder/relationship management skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to adapt to different and emerging technologies and systems
  • Good understanding of IT services and the ability to translate them into service offerings for an IT and non- IT audience
  • Ability to act promptly and decisively when problem solving

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • ITIL certification or ITIL environment exposure
  • Experience in PMP or PRINCE2 beneficial
