Description

We’re looking for an excited freelance QA manual test engineer, who enjoys breaking digital products and doesn’t mind taking on a variety of release quality challenges.

Ideally, you’ll be experienced in working closely with other developers, QA and product people. You’ll want to work in a collaborative working environment where ideas can be aired, differing opinions experimented with and sensible solutions chosen.

 

Engagement Objective (3-months)
We are looking for someone to ensure the quality of our releases as we are transitioning to an automated process.

Requirements

Note that the candidate should own and want to work on his own equipment/devices.

Skills/qualifications you may already have

  • Practical experience in structured manual testing - designing, writing (in common language) and executing tests
  • Experience in testing mobile and web-based applications
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment using Scrum/Kanban
  • Excellent communication skills and a enjoys being part of a team
  • Experience with SQL is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Expand and maintain the existing manual testing suite
  • Execute manual tests whenever required, primarily before releases
  • Manage releases schedule and on-the-day comms
  • Work closely with our test automation engineer to document the system
  • Work with product on feature acceptance criteria
  • Research and implement new ways of maintaining the manual test suite
  • Contribute constructively in improving agile practices
