Senior Security Architect – Inside IR35

 As Security Architect you will:

  • Ensure the DWP make the best use of its technology by supporting proportionate, risk-informed decisions relative to security investments.
  • Protect the Department 's assets by working with the Security Risk Advice team
  • Ensure the delivery of consistent, secure solutions by working with delivery teams
  • Carry out security design assurance work on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
  • Be aware of developments in the IT industry including changes in the threat landscape and the emergence of new technology challenges and capabilities.
  • Develop strategies, blueprints, reference architectures and design patterns for data acquisition, archive, retention and recovery.
  • Accurately record outputs from Design Authority Governance and Advisory meetings, translating complex technical language, providing a recommendation based on full analysis of available information.
  • Create and manage the standard for the Digital Design artefacts that should be delivered by projects seeking technical governance.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally, and maintain a technical repository for projects to refer to for best practice and exemplars.

 

You’ll have:

  • CISSP qualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of Security Architecture
  • Be able to communication with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in designing security patterns and road maps

 

It would be great to also have:

  • Previous experience of working for a government department
