6 Months Contract, Inside IR35

 

The key responsibility of this role is to plan and deliver MO IT Infrastructure Projects within the Digital Infrastructure Programme, adhering to Motability Operations quality expectations, as per agreed timelines, and within agreed budget and project tolerances. 

 

You will be part of the IT Portfolio & PMO Team reporting to the Manager of the Project Management Practice, however you will be assigned to the Digital Infrastructure Programme. The purpose of the Programme Team is to successfully deliver Infrastructure to support the Business and to support IT Projects and Programmes. As part of the IT Portfolio the Digital Infrastructure Programme supports the delivery and implementation of the IT Roadmap and IT Strategy. 

 

Working closely with the Digital Infrastructure Programme Manager you will have responsibility for:

  • Managing productive, efficient, and engaged internal and external project teams, including consultants and stakeholders, to ensure effective delivery in accordance with the project objectives
  • Maintaining a working environment that enables the project teams to flourish
  • Continually reviewing delivery and project processes/ways of working to drive high performance and best practice
  • Embracing new ways of working and ensuring that these fit alongside governance standards.
  • Producing agreed artefacts and signed off documents at the relevant points within the project(s)
  • Providing support to the overall programme of work and to deputise for the programme manager when required.
  • Mentoring and supporting members of the team
  • Building delivery schedules that recognise and incorporate dependencies with other projects and products
  • Accountable and responsible for project budgets - forecast, actuals and variance management & reporting
  • Forming collaborative relationships with stakeholders and others across the programme

Mandatory

  • Strong and demonstratable experience of managing and delivering multiple technical infrastructure/cloud projects simultaneously within agreed schedule, quality and budget
  • Experience using agile methodology in project management and delivery
  • Experience of delivering cloud migration using various cloud technologies
  • Experience/knowledge of automation of cloud deployments and developing infrastructure
  • Experience at working both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently 
  • Proven stakeholder management
  • Experience of working in a matrix management environment
  • Experience of managing multiple 3rd party vendors and working effectively with 3rd party PMs
  • Experience in the identification, assessment and management of risks, issues & dependencies
  • Strong MS Office with experience of Project management tools

 

Desirable

  • Experience/knowledge of delivering container technology-based projects
  • Knowledge of Project management tools such as Clarizen
  • Knowledge of PMO concepts and processes
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tooling used for workflow and document storage
