Technology Infrastructure Project Manager (Contract)



Infrastructure Technology Project Managers are responsible for end-to-end Program and Project Management activities from project initiation & planning through execution & delivery, status reporting, risk & issue management and client expectation management. PMs interact with the different teams within Infrastructure Technology and other application development teams across Millennium Technology to deliver solutions. PMs work with technology leaders to maintain, assess and prioritize multiple projects within their book of work to ensure resources are aligned appropriately to the deliverables required by the firm.


The PM is responsible for managing small to large projects through the project’s life cycle. Collaborates with Technical leads and other project team members to deliver multiple projects. Define project scope and objectives, identifies required skills and resources for project team, develops detailed work plans, schedule, maintains and updates project plans and ensures quality. The PM anticipates and identifies project issues and risks, escalates for transparency, recommends solutions and works with technical teams to implement solutions. The PM will also provide regular reporting covering project\program status including major deliverables, risk factors and financials. The PM conducts interim and post-project reviews and conducts quality assurance audits.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management throughout the project life cycle.
  • Work with the technical leads and project team members to document requirements, identify resources and develop detailed project and resource plans.
  • Work with the technical leads to create, maintain and prioritize a book of work for the space.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and dependency and ensure quality of project deliverables.
  • Identify issues and risks and work with project team to develop mitigation plans and provide timely escalation.
  • Conduct project meetings, track and monitor tasks, milestones, deliverables, risks and issues.
  • Organize and manage internal and external project resources
  • Ensure quality of project management work, timely updates, prepare and collect project related artifacts.
  • Manage stakeholders’ communication and expectations.
  • Provide regular transparency, status reports and escalate risks and issues impacting project delivery.
  • Identify project level metrics/KPIs, collect data, analyze trends and report on performance.


Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Extensive experience within IT managing medium to large technology projects, preferable within IT Infrastructure
  • Enthusiasm & drive, client focused, results orientation, and self-motivation traits.
  • Good understanding of technologies ideally within infrastructure space.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing multiple projects to successful conclusion
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal skills and communications both oral and written.
  • Intimate knowledge of all phases of full life cycle development.
  • Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple end-to-end projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of analysis techniques, tool usage and standards.
  • Track record of managing/leading project teams.
  • Must possess strong meeting facilitation skills.
  • Able to drive execution across teams and deliver with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working in financial industry is a plus.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure, and to manage multiple deadlines
