Are you an advanced Website Developer or technical individual who loves the idea of working with a wide range of website development projects and assisting a team of people to deliver awesome website development solutions?

Exposure Ninja is looking for a Web Development Technical Lead to find and assist with implementing solutions for website development and ad-hoc dev projects. You will also provide day-to-day technical support to a team of Project Managers and clients.

You will need to be super organised and have a strong knowledge of Website Development primarily WordPress but also hosting and email environments.

You’ll be answering questions and talking to Project Managers and Developers every day, so you MUST have impeccable English. You will also be attending client-facing calls to discuss functionality or technical issues alongside the Project Manager. There will also be times when you will need to speak to a client on your own to discuss a technical issue or provide them over the phone guidance to resolve their issues.

Work flexible hours, from a remote position, on varied and interesting website development projects across different client websites.

Our ideal Web Development Technical Lead will do the following:

  • Resolve and troubleshoot WordPress websites
  • Find solutions to technical website development problems
  • Estimate the development time required to implement solutions and fix problems accurately and on time
  • Support Developers to find and implement development solutions
  • Communicate updates to Project Managers throughout projects
  • Support Projects Managers with putting technical issues into client-friendly language
  • Resolve and troubleshoot server and email issues
  • Identifying potential website issues to prevent future issues
  • Ensure development tasks are done to a high standard and QA the work completed
  • Manage multiple technical enquiries at one time
  • Never miss a deadline

The skills we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years experience in Wordpress website building and troubleshooting
  • Ability to accurately estimate delivery times for development work and price the work accordingly
  • Ability to alter and code WordPress websites
  • Strong understanding of DNS set up and changes
  • Experience managing Junior Developers and supporting them to implement solutions
  • Exceptionally keen on details and thorough in doing quality checks of work
  • Understand conversion principles (CRO) in website design and functionality
  • High initiative to solve problems and find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written
  • Native or fluent English — both verbal and written
  • Great customer care and handling
  • Provides answers to clients & ninjas by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding the client through corrective steps.
  • Available to work within UK hours on 5 days a week to communicate with the team

Extra brownie points:

  • Magento, Shopify website building and troubleshooting
  • Configuration of cPanel accounts and emails

Work Hours and Salary:

This is a freelance position with approximately 20 hours work per week, predominantly working with hosting and additional technical support for our clients’ websites. There may be the opportunity for additional projects in the future.

We are looking to hire for a 1st June start.
