You will be designing and leading the migration from a legacy code base for a full-stack Web application to a serverless cloud-first solution. With the full support of AO’s DevOps engineering team, you’ll be developing AO’s unique service delivery management (SDM) tooling, that is consumed by all members of the Tech department. Upon completion, this application’s source code will be one of many tools that AO contributes to the open source community, therefore configurability is key with your work.

You will be practiced in Object Oriented design and implementation and demonstrably experienced in safely working within legacy code boundaries and its migration. The ideal candidate will be fluent with the test-driven development approach to software.

Knowledge and experience with some of the following would also be desirable: RDS, Lambda, containerisation

We believe that in order for you to do your best, we need to support your other commitments. This means working in a way that offers you flexibility, whilst getting the job done. Feel free to have a chat with us about our flexible ways of working.

We achieve this by nurturing a culture of inclusion where every voice matters. We welcome applications from everyone and we can make adjustments to our interview process according to your needs.
