Exception is currently looking for a Service Design Lead to join an existing team in Glasgow.

This will be working with a key client on a programme to fulfil service design work with internal and external users to redesign processes and digital services.

The role will be a mix of hands-on practical delivery and strategic consultancy on the design of services. Service design and delivery will be focused on evidence-based and user-centred outlooks.

Candidates will have experience of user focus, prototyping and stakeholder engagement, developing design concepts and providing high level service design advice.

The role will involve designing the end-to-end journey of multifaceted services which will include products transactions and content across digital and offline channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure digital teams adopt user centred practices and embed them into their development life cycles.
  • Communication on design decisions and how they have been reached.
  • Managing the design of services, strategies and policies, involving business users and ensuring requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that design and delivery are using collaborative user centred service design practices and building them into the service.
  • Prototyping and validation of proposed design solutions

Experience of working within the Public Sector or with Public Sector clients would be an advantage.
